Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) sent a letter to the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, over concerns regarding the distribution of funds through the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) Grant Program. The letter raises questions about the potential weaponization of the program, demanding to know if taxpayer funds are being used to campaign against political opponents rather than focusing on preventing acts of violence and terrorism. Rep. Langworthy is joined on the letter by Rep. Jeff Duncan (SC-03).

Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) issued the following statement after the Supreme Court of the United States announced a ruling on President Biden’s student loan giveaway:

“I applaud the Supreme Court for affirming that Biden’s student loan giveaway is unconstitutional,” said Rep. Langworthy. “Now 87% of Americans won’t be forced to pay for the educational decisions of those that made the choice to take out large student loans. It’s simple: if you take out a loan, you pay it back.”
