WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) announced a federal grant of $5,117,322 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. for Head Start projects.
Congressman Nick Langworthy today voted in favor of the HALT Fentanyl Act, a critical piece of legislation he co-sponsored that will help keep deadly fentanyl off our streets. The bill passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 289-133.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced the introduction of the Executive Branch Accountability and Transparency Act. This bill would create a central database for the financial disclosure and ethics documents of administration officials and political appointees.
Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy alongside Congresswoman Becca Balint (D-VT) introduced the bipartisan, bicameral Supporting All Producers Act of 2023, also known as the SAP Act, which would ensure that the Department of Agriculture (USDA) carefully follows input from maple syrup producers when directing research and education priorities under the Acer Access and Development Program. Senator Peter Welch (D-VT) and Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) will be leading the Senate companion.
On the same day the Biden Administration allowed Title 42 to expire, Congressman Nick Langworthy voted in favor of H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023 that passed the House 219-213.
H.R. 2 is a comprehensive bill comprised of legislation that passed through the House Homeland Security, Judiciary and Foreign Affairs Committees. It has to main goals: secure the border and combat illegal immigration.
