WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved federal disaster assistance for farmers and communities impacted by severe tornadoes and storms caused by Hurricane Beryl in July. The disaster designation covers seven primary counties, including Erie County, as well as 23 contiguous counties, including Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben.

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) proudly hosted 298 Vietnam veterans from Erie County and their families for a 50th Anniversary Vietnam-Era Veteran Pinning Ceremony. This event was held at Hilbert College's William E. Swan Auditorium in partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to honor local veterans for their service and sacrifice.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced that fire departments across Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties have been awarded $669,967.63 in federal grants through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) programs.

OLEAN, N.Y. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) proudly hosted 75 Vietnam Veterans from Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties for a 50th Anniversary Vietnam-Era Veteran Pinning Ceremony. FALCONER, N.Y. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced that Premier Precision Machining (d.b.a. Rand Machine Products) has won a share of a $211 million award to manufacture, test, produce and deliver mortar shell bodies and variants. Rand Machine was just one of three companies nationwide to be authorized as part of this 5-year IDIQ contract.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) announced that the Jamison Road Volunteer Fire Company serving the town of Elma in Erie County has been awarded an Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the amount of $176,171.42.

The bill, co-led by Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33), seeks to enhance safety standards for certain air operators that currently operate without the rigorous screening requirements of commercial airlines.
