Rep. Langworthy Supports Measures to Combat Communist China
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) took to the House Floor to support provisions in H.R. 4366, the FY23 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, that will address the threat that China poses to the United States.
“We cannot afford to ignore the challenges posed by China's rise and assertiveness. We must be prepared to take a comprehensive approach that combines strengthening our defense capabilities, upholding democratic values, investing in our economy and technology, and safeguarding our citizens' interests and data,” said Rep. Langworthy. “This is not about escalating tensions or seeking confrontation but rather about responsibly protecting our nation's interests and encouraging global peace and stability through American strength.”
