Langworthy Supports Schools Not Shelters Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) took to the House Floor to support Congressman Marc Molinaro’s Schools Not Shelters Act, to prevent government officials from housing migrants in schools. This bill passed the house in a vote of 222 - 201.

“Unfortunately, this legislation is a necessary response to President Biden’s border crisis, which has been made worse by the sanctuary city policies of New York democrats. We're seeing illegal immigration spill into communities across the state, including my district in Western New York,” said Congressman Langworthy. “The Schools Not Shelters Act sends a clear message that our nation values the education and well-being of our children above all else.”
