Langworthy Statement on Dismissal of the Trump Classified Documents Case in Florida

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Nick Langworthy issued the following statement after the classified documents case against former President Donald J. Trump was dismissed:

“The dismissal of the classified documents case against President Trump, due to the unlawful appointment and funding of Special Counsel Jack Smith, is a win for the rule of law in America and a step toward ending the partisan manipulation of our justice system,” said Congressman Langworthy. “The use of lawfare against political opponents, especially during a major presidential election, undermines our democratic process. Restoring faith in our institutions means ensuring that justice is applied equally to all, regardless of last name or political affiliation.”
