Congressman Nick Langworthy Votes For House Resolution Condemning DC's Non-Citizen Voting Act

February 9, 2023

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Nick Langworthy voted for and presided over the House floor debate on Washington, DC City Council’s Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022 that would allow non-citizens, including illegal immigrants and foreign nationals, the right to vote.

“As I have fought for years, only American citizens should be allowed to vote in American elections, period,” said Congressman Nick Langworthy. “The radical left has gone so far off the cliff that they are trying to open our elections to agents who work for the Chinese Communist Party and Putin. I was proud to lead the charge to block New York’s non-citizen voting law and I’m proud that we’re taking action to stop the insanity of the DC Council in our nation’s capital.”

With Congressman Langworthy serving on the powerful Rules committee, he presided over the floor debate for this resolution. You can watch a clip of it here.
