Congressman Nick Langworthy Holds Press Conference Addressing Impending Government Shutdown
CLARENCE N.Y.— March 12— Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) held a press conference at his Clarence District Office today regarding the impending government shutdown at the hands of Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats. The House of Representatives passed a Continuing Resolution earlier this week, but it needs a 60-vote majority in the Senate. The deadline for government funding is March 14th.
Congressman Langworthy released the following statement today, ahead of the press conference: “This is a politically orchestrated attack using Americans as the pawns. If it happens, Schumer and Senate Democrats own this government shutdown, full stop. New Yorkers need to call Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand and demand better of their elected officials.”
