Our local heroes deserve nothing less than our full support, and I will continue working to ensure they have the resources they need.”
“I want to thank Congressman Langworthy for his unwavering support in securing this grant and his tireless advocacy for public safety,” said Chief Charles Minich. “Our dedicated team of volunteers has always been at the forefront of safeguarding lives and property, and this grant comes as a powerful affirmation of their commitment.”
According to DHS, the purpose of the SAFER Program is to provide funding directly to fire departments and volunteer firefighter interest organizations to assist with increasing the number of firefighters to help communities meet industry minimum standards, to attain 24-hour staffing to provide adequate protection from fire and fire-related hazards, and to fulfill traditional missions of fire departments.
