“I’m proud to be an advocate for the Southern Tier’s rural communities in Washington,” said Rep. Langworthy. “This investment will allow the Town of Pomfret to keep residents safe in our harsh winter weather. I will continue to work with Supervisor Pacos and other local leaders to ensure they have the resources they need.”
“I’m grateful for Congressman Langworthy’s dedication to improving rural communities and ensuring public safety,” said Supervisor Daniel Pacos. “The acquisition of a new snowplow truck will empower us to maintain our town roads and safeguard the well-being of our Pomfret residents.
This grant is part of the USDA’s Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program, which provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas.
