May 2, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) announced a new federal grant for the Southern Tier Community Health Center Network in the amount of $2,477,540. This grant is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Health Center Program.

“I’m pleased to announce a major $2.4 million investment in the Southern Tier Community Health Center Network, which provides primary care services to Cattaraugus and Allegany counties,” said Congressman Langworthy. “They play an important role in providing rural and underserved populations with the quality care they deserve. I’m grateful for their dedication to the Southern Tier, and I look forward to our continued work to ensure the needs of our communities are met.”

According to HHS, the Community Health Center Program aims to improve healthcare access by supporting over 1,400 health centers nationwide. These centers play a pivotal role in addressing disparities in healthcare access and outcomes, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their background or financial status, have access to comprehensive, patient-centered care.
