Langworthy Visits Ford Stamping Plant; Highlights Legislation to Expand Skilled Job Training

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) toured the Ford Motor Company’s Buffalo Stamping Plant and met with plant workers to discuss the importance of skilled job training in Western New York and the Southern Tier. As part of his ongoing commitment to bolstering the region's workforce, Congressman Langworthy highlighted the bipartisan CAREERS Act (H.R. 7015), aimed at expanding access to workforce training programs and career pathways for rural communities.
“I want to thank the Ford Motor Company for the incredible tour of their local stamping plant and their dedication to the future of American manufacturing,” said Congressman Langworthy. “Ford’s story embodies the American dream, and keeping manufacturing jobs in our region means keeping the door open for future generations to pursue this dream. It’s critical that we invest in a skilled workforce that can drive our nation’s innovation and competitiveness on the world stage — my CAREERS Act does just that. I will continue to work with my colleagues across the aisle to include this in the Farm Bill and ensure a brighter future for Western New York and the Southern Tier.”
Brian Kendig, Plant Manager of Buffalo Stamping, added, “We were honored to welcome Congressman Langworthy to our Buffalo Stamping Plant today and proud to showcase the work that more than 700 of our WNY team members do here every day to produce high quality components for a variety of Ford vehicles. Buffalo has been an important part of Ford’s footprint for nearly 75 years, and we look forward to continuing our work with the Congressman to drive American innovation and manufacturing forward while strengthening our local community.”
