Congressman Langworthy Secures Over $1.2 Million EPA Grant to Improve Portville Water System

August 8, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) today announced the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $1,250,000 to the Village of Portville for drinking water system improvements as a part of the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (STAG).

“I’m proud to deliver over $1.2 million to upgrade Portville’s water system,” said Congressman Langworthy. “This investment will help modernize Portville’s sanitary collection system to prevent contamination and protect public health. Since securing the earmark last year, I have been pushing to get this grant across the finish line, and I am thrilled it’s now a reality.”

Congressman Langworthy secured this critical funding for the Village of Portville in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (H. Res. 4366), which was signed into law in March 2024.
